Wang Gang is a Chinese football player who has been active in the Chinese football scene for over 12 years. He began his career at Beijing Guoan, where he played for three seasons before moving to Shanghai Shenhua in 2016.

Wang Gang's early career was marked by success with Beijing Guoan, winning the Chinese Super League title in 2014 and the AFC Champions League title in 2015. However, it wasn't until he joined Shanghai Shenhua that he truly achieved success.

In his first season with Shanghai Shenhua, Wang Gang made a name for himself as a versatile player, scoring 27 goals in all competitions. He also helped lead the team to the AFC Champions League semi-finals, where they lost in the final against Japan's Hiroshima Krutten.
