Title: Benzema Updates Injury Status at Al Nassr
Al-Hazem Benhalil, the manager of French club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has confirmed that forward Antoine Griezmann is currently in good health and not injured.
The news came as a relief to fans of both clubs who have been eagerly awaiting his return from a season-long suspension for biting PSG defender Adrien Rabiot.
"Antoine is doing well and not injured," said Benhalil during a press conference after the team's training session on Tuesday. "He will be available for the Champions League game against Manchester United next week."
Rabiot, the star player of the French national team, was banned for two years by France's Football Federation last month following a match-fixing scandal involving the team.
However, the 28-year-old has since revealed he did not know about the ban until it was announced publicly.
"I didn't know about this because I didn't participate in any matches," he told reporters. "I only knew about the ban when it was made public."
Despite the setback,Serie A Stadium Benhalil remained optimistic that Griezmann would soon return to full fitness.
"It's important that we wait for him to come back," he added. "But we're hopeful that he'll play in the Champions League."
As for Rabiot, he remains determined to prove himself as one of the best defenders in world football.
"I'm ready to fight for my place in the starting lineup," he said. "And I'm looking forward to playing for PSG."
For now, it appears that Griezmann will continue to rest until further notice while Rabiot will need time to recover from the ban.
This development comes just weeks after the club announced plans to pay out millions of euros to former PSG players to help them transition into new roles within the club.
"We've got a lot of talent here, but we also need to build a strong squad," said Benhalil. "That means investing in young talents like Griezmann and Rabiot."
