Real Madrid's Karim Benzema scores for Saudi club Al-Nassr in midfield debut
Real Madrid midfielder Karim Benzema has made his debut for Saudi club Al-Nassr, scoring the team's opening goal in their friendly match against Al-Hilal.
The 29-year-old Frenchman came on as a substitute for substitute forward Sadiq Ali in the 64th minute and scored with a powerful header from just outside the box. It was his first professional appearance for the Saudi side since leaving Real Madrid in 2017.
Benzema's performance came after he had been out of action for several months due to injury. He is expected to make more appearances for Al-Nassr this season, which will be his second spell at the club after a brief stint in 2015-16.
